BIOGRAPHY
SOMBOON HORMTIENTONG (Thailand)
From an impoverished artist, who became the golden boy of the Munich art world, Thai artist Somboon Hormtientong’s colourful works, be it through geometric deliberation or wilder gestured strokes, express a universal language of life’s intensity and diversity, which harmoniously balance spontaneity and control, limitation and development, movement and stiffness, emptiness and fullness, spirituality and emotion, conceptual rigour and expressiveness.
